March Energy Overview

Welcome to March 2016!

Well, the tarotscopes will be a bit late this month as I have a lot going on (new house, new business, sick toddler, etc., etc.). In the meantime, you can read the overview and check out the tarotscope chart and see what you feel the cards mean before I post my interpretations…

March is an interesting month astrologically. There are two eclipses (one solar in Pisces and one lunar in Libra) that bring sudden and/or unexpected changes in our lives. For many, this can compel us to assume a fighting stance, but Mars, the planet of war, determination, and energy, slows and enters its shadow period this month before going retrograde in April. This dynamic is reflected by the two most common Major Arcana this month: the Chariot (4/5 reversed) and Strength (5/5 upright). The Chariot represents external power and control (very Mars direct)…and it is quite fitting that most are reversed. The Strength card represents internal power and control (very Mars retrograde). We are encouraged to call on our higher selves to help tame our frightened egos, especially in the face of any adversity that may arise from these eclipses. The most common minor arcana card this month is the 2 of Wands. When the Universe eclipses something out of your life, are you going to cling to it, stubbornly refusing to adapt to the new reality or are you going to thank the Universe for taking what no longer serves you and courageously accept whatever element, person, job, passion, etc. that has taken its place?
