Today we have Mars and Mercury both at the critical 29th degree of Virgo and Libra, respectively. The 29th degree (last degree) of any sign adds a restless, sometimes unpredictable, edginess to a planet . . . It has nearly completed its exploration of a particular energy (zodiac sign), and it is aching to move into fresh territory. Mars at the 29th degree of Virgo just wants to get stuff done so it can chill in Libra (though Mars won’t be happy there for long). Mercury at the 29th degree of Libra is tired of weighing all the options and tending to everyone's needs. Now it feels the pull of magnetic Scorpio where it can focus and dig deeper into serious topics. Mercury recently entered an opposition to Uranus which amplifies the impatient, volatile nature of the 29th degree . . . Stop and think before speaking or before hitting ‘send’ on any emails or texts today. It would be wise to extend that mindfulness with our communications to October 14th when Mercury finally exists the Uranus opposition.

Luckily, Sagittarius is a great place for the Moon through all of this twitchy energy. Emotionally, we are full of inspiration for the future and can feel the ‘bigness’ of whatever is on the horizon. It is a great day to zip around and tie up loose ends with an eye toward any inspiring future plans.

The Tarot Card of the Day: Temperance. Well, despite this itchy energy that is ripe for knee-jerk reactions, we are guided to frame our daily dealings with the higher perspective of Sagittarius (the zodiac sign associated with this card). The Jupiter square in Sagittarius that lasted for most of September was trying to temper our mundane experience with spiritual wisdom. We need to remind our Mercury (intellect and communication) and Mars (impulse, action) that they are not in service to themselves, but in service to divinity. Let's not be too rash today.
