Happy New Moon in Libra . . . or more specifically, Happy slightly uncomfortable New Moon in Libra that is making an exact inconjunct aspect to Uranus in Taurus. An inconjunct aspect is one in which the two sources of energy really don't have anything in common and create an awkward, uneasy sensation. The Libran New Moon wants a new beginning in relationship dynamics founded on principles of equality and justice (Venus square Saturn and Pluto, and sextile Jupiter underscore this ideal). Uranus is uncomfortable in Taurus and is pushing for out-of-the-box solutions to practical problems that propel society to its cutting edge. Libra, however, doesn't enjoy being poked by indifferent and unpredictable Uranus.
The good news is that despite the exact aspect, it's not as uncomfortable as it could be.
The one thing that connects these signs is their Venus rulership, which is associated with money and values. This suggests that the New Moon might be a harbinger of unconventional (Uranian) financial systems looming on the horizon. We shall see.
I should also mention that this Libra New Moon is opposing Chiron in Aries which, again, is bringing up old wounds to be healed around the issue of maintaining individuality within a relationship. This challenging New Moon energy will be felt most intensely by those whose ascendants, suns, or moons fall within 0 to 10 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries, and Cancer.
In other news, the Jupiter T-square is finally over. Jupiter has been relentlessly trying to align our mind, values, ego, emotions, and impulses with our belief systems, philosophies, and worldview. Did it work? We'll all find out later this fall when these personal planets begin their journey through the sign of Sagittarius. I cannot stress enough the importance of aligning the details of our life with the beliefs and values that we pay lip service to. We have to start walking our talk and clarifying how we want to engage with our external reality in preparation for 2020. The world seems to be shifting beneath our feet, so a broad philosophical (Sagittarian) understanding of who we are and our highest contribution will allow us to steadily navigate these upcoming changes.

The Tarot Card of the Day: 7 of Pentacles. Financial patience. If some issue regarding money or practical matters pops up in the days surrounding this Libra New Moon, try to breathe and take the long view. Things will eventually work out, but perhaps in a way that you would never have expected (Uranus in Taurus).
