Welcome to the first day of Virgo Season 2019! We have quite a party going on in Virgo with the Sun, Venus, and Mars in a tight conjunction from 0 to 3 degrees. There is a growing intensity surrounding our to-do lists and a sense that the time to act is now. Not only do we need to check things off, but we need those tasks to be completed in a way that satisfies the Virgoan eye for detail. Slap-dash jobs will not do the trick, so don't be too hasty. Luckily, we have Venus right on top of Mars to temper its typical impulsivity.
Mercury is hanging back in Leo where our minds are still grappling with the yearnings of our hearts. The trio in Virgo wants to get things done in service to others, while Mercury is dragging its feet a bit and asking, but what about what I want? Adding to that lower lip pout is a freshly formed Yod, with Mercury at its uncomfortable apex. Pluto retrograde in Capricorn is casting a critical and penetrating eye toward Mercury's personal desires. Oh is that what you want? Really? Why? Are you strong enough? Are you strategic enough? Are you powerful enough? Or will you shrivel under scrutiny? Neptune retrograde in Pisces is making this Leo Mercury even more insecure. Typically, Neptune is a facilitating illusionist and will feed you convenient lies. But when she is retrograde, it is a time for bursting those bubbles. She is now serving up some truth bombs and ego blows. But this is all for the best. Our minds will be forged in the fire of this uncomfortable Yod. By the time Mercury enters Virgo, we will be ready to move forward in a more honest, heart-centered, and grounded way.
That all sounds a bit challenging. However, Mercury does still have an ally in Jupiter, the great benefic. Jupiter is challenging Neptune and supporting Mercury . . . What does this feel like? Well, maybe one minute you are riding high with delightful fantasies of the future, and you feel like the world is your oyster. But your mom, best friend, and neighbor look at you as though you just spoke in tongues. Off you go to pout in a corner, trying to regain that Jupiterian enthusiasm. These fluctuations are also, in part, due to a Gemini Moon, which can be emotionally fickle and confusing. Don't worry too much about these ups and downs. We'll start feeling more stable through the weekend and much more settled by Monday when we have a Grand Earth Trine kite. Stay tuned . . .
